Just a last heads-up: The flight to Paros from Athens is on a propeller plane. If I can do it, anyone can! It's only about a 25 minute flight, so quite short. Just don't watch the landing!

Flights to Paros booked. Feel free to share hotel recommendations. Thanks.

Olympic is now flying dependable Dash 8 aircraft. They hold about 30 people. The flight will be smooth and fun.

This is off topic, but this conversation reminds me of my flight from Athens to Paros in 1990. At take-off the pilot announced there would be no smoking until he turned off the no-smoking sign. Once that time came I'm sure my friend and I were the only non-smokers. We could barely breathe and were glad it was a short flight. Of course, now there is no smoking on flights. Just something I can look back on and laugh at.

thanks to everyone who offered advice. Looking forward to our trip.

ocanada,
You will love Paros! We had a fantastic stay at STELIA MARE, a small boutique hotel that's within an easy walk of Naoussa. If they have rooms within your budget, grab it. The hotel was one of our favorites in Greece: Beautiful rooms, unbelievable staff with excellent recommendations, ( ask for Georgia), very close to town. To stanbr: Our flight in early June to Paros was not that smooth! However, well worth it once we got to Paros! |
ocanada,
Wherever you decide to stay, make sure to arrange a taxi pickup at the airport for the transfer to your hotel, unless you are getting a rental car. There aren't that many taxis on the island, and you need to reserve ahead. |
Ah well WWK if the flight wasn't smooth, the up side is the Dash made it safely :)

stanbr,
You're absolutely right, of course! The return flight was much better. We hit some very unpredictable weather for late May/early June this trip. Many of our friends from Athens were complaining that they were cold! |
