Amalfi Coast vs Capri ??
I am planning to go to Naples at the end of February. Can you please recommend whether I should go to Capri or Amalfi. I am planning to stay just for a night. So I will reach in the eve of 27 Feb and leave Naples on the eve of 28 Feb for rome.

Please help..

I've been to both, but never in Feb. My guess is they'll both be ghost towns.

Are you asking where you should spend the night? If you don't reach Naples till evening of 27/2 then you'll probably need to spend the night in Naples - not sure if there will be transportation available to either Amalfi or Capri. You could check the ferry schedule (to Capri) and bus schedule (to Amalfi). Of course you could always get a driver to Amalfi if you can afford it. But it sounds like it would make more sense to spend the night in Naples and then do a day trip to Capri or Amalfi. In that case you could wait and decide when you get there. I think the fast ferry to Capri takes less time than the train/bus to Amalfi but you can check the schedules on line.

There will be some hotels and a few restaurants open in February but as both are seasonal destinations, not much will be happening. Maybe opt for Capri since you have just one night and are leaving from Naples the next day. It's about 40 minutes on the ferry from the Molo Beverello port as opposed to two hours bus/train travel to, say, Positano.
You don't say what your plans are. If the weather is good, Capri has great hiking.

I would not want to commit to a ferry ride to and from Capri without knowing first whether the seas would be calm or rough on my travel days. Not many years ago, I was in an apartment in the hills of Naples on a stormy day and had a clear view of a ferry headed to Capri, and the steep up and down rocking of the slow-going ferry as it ploughed through white-capped waves made me glad I was not on that boat. The woman who owned the apartment commented to me it was one reason she would never live on Capri.

By the way, the day before this had been a mild, sunny day without much wind. For someone taking a day trip to Capri, the boat ride might have been nice (if chilly). But for someone waking up the next day who had spent the night, the boat ride back would have been nauseating for a great many people.
