Amalfi Coast Villas - help!

Hi,

we are a group of 8 - 3 married couples and 2 single dudes. We are looking two villas on the amalfi coast for next June ( im in awe that so many villas booked 6 months ahead already!).

Anyone stayed in either of these two? Your input greatly appreciated. thank you!

That's Casa Tertulla in Ravello - no car needed - because we won't be renting one. And this villa says car not needed.

And then there's the second Villa Mille e una notte in Conca dei Marini between Amalfi and Positano - they also say there's a bus and we don't need a car.....

both have pools and AC and fit our needs....

Technically, a car might not be needed as there is a public bus available. The reality is that bus will be packed in season and you might have to wait until a bus or two has passed until you can get on one. Casa Tertulla is not in Ravello, it's 2-3 miles away (up a cliff). It's not in Atrani either (down a cliff - 300+ steps). You could walk down to Atrani and then to Amalfi for more transport options (ferries or other buses), but it might not be pleasant walking in the heat. I certainly wouldn't plan to walk back up.

The second one wouldn't load for me so can't tell exactly where it is.

A page comes up, but no photos and the map doesn't show location when you click it (just general coast area). Without an actual address it's hard to tell the location/address and proximity to transport. Do you have an address?

One thing to check carefully. Most villas with multiple bedrooms have only one or two adult bedrooms - with double beds, Other bedrooms often have two twin beds - or even bunk beds. In this case the couples re going to have to decide who gets to sleep in the adult beds and who gets to sleep alone.

Also - do realize that the coast is extremely vertical - and while climbing down may not be bad - climbing back up at the end of the day can be a huge PIA.
