Well I looked on Expedia and found a package deal which includes round trip for two with 8 nights at the hotel Eden roc flying air France outbound and Alitalia coming home for a price I thought was very good.Has anyone on here ever stayed at this hotel? We intend to do a day trips around the Amalfi coast to Capri Pompeii ravello sorrento and would love to hear any suggestions on the best way to do these trips.
Thanks for your replies

Eden Roc is perched on the edge of the Amalfi Coast Road near the intersection with Via Cristofer Colombo. It's a popular hotel and the views are beautiful. You're a downhill/uphill walk to the pedestrian zone, beach and dock along this road, meaning very few stairs to negotiate which is always a bonus.

I have heard good things about Hotel Eden Roc. I know we looked at it when researching our trip last year. You might check Trip Advisor for current reviews.

We did so much of nothing that I can't really help on the best way to visit Pompeii, Ravello, etc...I think there is a ferry from Positano to Capri. We used Tiber Limo from the A/c to Rome and I know they go to Pompeii.

I would take a car service from Naples to Positano and get dropped right at your hotel. We used Francesco Marrapese based on advice we got here and we were happy with our service. http://www.francescomarrapese.com/aboutme.htm

I am sure there are other ways but after a long flight, I don't want to deal with trains and buses....I want to get my vacation started!

It's between 90 euro and 120 euro from Naples airport to Positano with a private car service.
There are many companies who do this run - check Trip Advisor's Amalfi Coast forums. There will be much more advice there as they have more forum traffic.
