Amalfi Coast ..the end of May...will everything be open?
 

US Air's second filing motivated me to immediately book award travel.

I have tickets on hold (flying on UAL) from IAD to Naples.

Someone told me that many restaruants, shops, hotels along the Amalfi coast don't open until June.

Is that true? Will it be a problem?

By end of May everything will be open (we've been thre twice then) - and its IMHO the best time of year warm enough for swimming (maybe not if you're from FLA - but in comapison the the North Atlantic yes) - but not yet filled with the tourist hordes.

On May 14 I was lying on a beach in Ischia, off the Amalfi Coast. Everything was open and the Coast was alive and sunny - you'll be fine!

Everything will be open (with the exception of some hotels and restaurants) everything is open all year round.
