We ended up booking Sorrento Town Suites. (Villa Elisa was not available but it looks wonderful as well.) There are some good reviews on Sorrento Town Suites. The negative reviews are about the possibility of overbooking and being bumped so I contacted the owner directly about this and was assured that we would not be bumped. We chose the Sorrento location because of the number of day trips we want to do, even though the Amalfi Coast towns were very tempting. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm going to start another thread about itinerary

Ciao, Dana! that place looks great! Did you get a flat with balcony?
Great location for day trips(bsed on Fodors feedback)--same reason we chose Sorrento, and the central location within the town ( both your place and Villa Elisa).
Have a great trip! YOu're there a month prior to us, so will look forward to your post-trip tips!

Dana can you please tell me the daily rates? Is breakfast included?

My daughter and I are thinking to go to Sorrento in September..

I like the idea of having a tiny balcony to enjoy a glass of cool wine in the evening and a fridge to hold our goodies.

Hi...

if u are not fussy and did not make ur mind yet but still saving I can suggest in Vico Equense some brand new apartment (www.cuboapartments.it) absolutely AMAZING..check them out..I know Vico Equense is not Sorrento..but ups sides:

- 15 minutes by car to Sorrento ..10 by train
-very hectic in Summer time
- germ of restaurant
last not least comparable price and brand new...

owner very reliable..

hope this helps
