Amalfi coast or Verona? Help!

jooleeb: To answer your question about travel between the Amalfi Coast and Venice - the Italian low-cost airline Volare flies between Naples and Venice.

I traveled from Venice to Positano in September by flying into Naples on Volare, then taking a short bus ride from the airport to the Beverello port, and then taking a hydrofoil from Naples directly to Positano. But the hydrofoils only run during high season, when the weather is good.

Joolleeb : to answer your question re how getting from Naples to Venice, we are going by night train. I dont have a price on a day train but the Eurostar that goes direct to Venice takes about 8 hours. The night train takes a bit longer. The last price I was quoted by the travel agent for the Eurostar (day train was $98 which includes the supplement. Log onto www.trenitalia.com for more info on italian trains but I'm sure someone else on the fodors site can give you more help. All the best...
