Tony, I'm not sure if you are considering Capri, but if you are I highly recommend la Minerva price range is :150-260 euor.
You can log on to www.caprionline.com look under 3 star hotels the site will link you to la Minerva's web site.This is a great hotel, the only draw back is there is no pool, but that's fairly common for a 3 star on Capri.
The Villa Rosa on Positano has received raves on this forum log on to www.karenbrown.com for reviews on both the hotels I've mentioned.
You might want to try a text search under Amalfi hotels, you'll get dozens of posts.

Tony: Try Onda Verde in Priano. They have a website that will snag you.

We stayed at the Netuno in Praiano. It was about 50 dollars a night per person. it was a nice place and my room had a balcony that looked out of the sea. It was beautiful.

Try IL Nido, www.ilnido.it. We paid 80 euro per night in April. Overlooks coast and Capri. Free shuttle into Sorrento, also docks and train station. Breakfast included along with free internet access. Rooms were clean, dinners good and staff wonderful.

Hi Tony,

I keep beating the drum for the Tramonto D'Oro hotel in Praiano. It is lovely, fabulous views, great roof top pool, bus stop across the street, and wonderful owners. Do a google search.
