Amalfi Coast Hotel HELP!
 

Please help me with the following itinerary. We arrive in Naples at 9 p.m. for our 7 night/6 full days on the Amalfi Coast. Since we arrive late, our first night is booked at the Best Western in Naples. Next day we will see Pompeii then we have two additional days to see the Amalfi Coast. The last four nights of our trip will be in Capri. Where should we stay for the two nights on the Amalfi Coast? Please recommend the best town or best hotel to truly absorb the beauty of this area.

Where are you staying while you visit Pompeii?

I wasn't planning to stay in Pompeii. I understand it takes about 4 hours to see that and then I had planned to move on to the next hotel somewhere on the Amalfi Coast.

Dear SeaUrchin -- I just checked my notes and the San Pietro was my first choice but they are booked and I am so bummed!

We are staying at Villa Rosa in Positano in September. Check Trip Advisor reviews. We are also arriving at 9 p.m. in Naples from London but are considering changing our flight to the next morning as we don't know what time we would be out of the airport.
