Amalfi Coast & Tuscany

My wife and I are THINKING VERY HARD about taking the Grand Circle Travel trip to Amalfi Coast & Tuscany in early March 2001. We have taken many trips with GCT and was very pleased each time, however we would like to hear from anyone who has taken a tour of these places. Your comments, Pro or Con would be appreciated. Thanks. Brad

Brad, My husband and I traveled from Rome to Amalfi Coast a couple of years ago and it is my favorite, favorite place. We stayed in Positano where all the hotels are perched high on a clift above the sea. You walk several dozen steps down from the road to the hotels and then many many more winding steps down to the beach. It is very lovely. We went to Vietri on the way for ceramics, visited Ravello and drove thru Amalfi. One day we took ferry to Capri which was cool, too. Had a nice dinner at the end of that day in Sorrento where you get the ferry. I think the name of our hotel was the Murat. Beddroom, sitting room, bathroom overlooking the Med. Breakfast on the balcony. Now we are planning a trip north to tuscany this fall. Good luck
