Amalfi coast

I will be at the Amalfi coast for four days the end of October I was looking to visit either Sorrento Capri Rapallo
I heard all three were very nice
I also heard it was worth visiting posit Tonto I'm not sure I can do all of this so if I was to pick one out of all of them does anyone have a suggestion

Not Rapallo which is closer to Genoa. You probably mean Ravello which is near Amalfi.

I'm not sure why you think you need to pick just one of these to visit. What town are you staying in?

Have you consulted a good guidebook? That would help you decide based on YOUR interests. And it will help to use the correct names -- Ravello (as Jean mentioned) and Positano. I believe the end of Oct. is a bit late for some of these locations; be sure you pay attention to that as you consider your options.

Good luck!

Of the three you list I prefer Ravello, but it is up in the hills vs. on the coast itself the way Amalfi is.

Stay in Positano and explore from there. Its hard to beat.

You will need to check ferry schedules if you plan to use them to visit Capri. You can easily visit both Ravello and Positano, if you would like from Amalfi.

I don't think I would bother trekking to Sorrento. There are plenty of beautiful things to see on the Amalifi Coast. Maybe a trip to Paestum would be a good option while you are there.

Unless you have some stops planned for the drive to and from the Amalfi Coast, you don't need a car. Spend the money instead on a driver to take you from the Naples train station to your hotel and back again at the end of your stay.

If you stick with the car idea, you'll need a hotel that has parking, and there will very probably be overnight parking charges. It's likely you'll leave the car parked until you leave for Rome. Even in the last days of October and early days of November, there will be traffic and crowds and a scarcity of parking.

November 1st is a holiday, more religious than civil, and you may find a few restaurants and shops are closed.

If you do drive, you need an International Driver's Permit. You should also Google "ZTL" and "Zona Traffico Limitato" plus the name of any town you plan to visit on your drive.

Why only one place? You can easily visit both
Ravello and Positano in a day or less.
