I agree about Capri. We enjoyed our 3 nights there to hike, boat and get over jet lag. One night wouldn't be worth the effort to us.

Thanks for the feedback.

I am playing with another idea, if we can add one night for Capri and do only 3 nights in Positano ? Would that give us enough time in Positano to explore ?

I can highly recommend Le Sirenuse. I would stay there forever if I could. We stayed 6 nights but the goal was to enjoy the view and recharge. I know many love Capri and recommend staying at least one night or longer to enjoy when the tourists are gone.

Enjoy your trip. The AC is gorgeous!

So two nights Capri and 3 x Positano? yes, I think that sounds good. It depends what you want to do in Positano so ensure you've allowed yourself enough time. Positano almost demands slowing down. I've seen people go there and then spend their time tearing backward and forward - even to Pompeii - and it is very tiring.
Denisea's recommenation of Le Sirenuse is great but very expensive however if you can afford the splurge then it's so worthwhile. If you've seen the movie 'Only You' (Robert Downey Jnr - circa 1992 or so) parts of it are filmed there.
I would get busy and book something soon as July is a very busy month.

We rank La Minerva among all time favorite hotels , right up there with the ShangriLa Bangkok. It is the service and location that are incredible. You walk on tree lined pathways to a variety of excellent restaurants and don't have to deal with the tourist mobs in the town center.

The OP already said they were looking at Le Sirenuse and Il San Pietro so I assume they know it is expensive.
