Am I the only one getting this "technical difficulties" message?
 

Starting yesterday evening, I couldn't sign on to Fodors as usual-- I got an error message saying:

"Hello All-

Fodors.com is temporarily offline due to technical difficulties.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
Please check back with us soon.

Sincerely,
Fodors.com"

In the background there is a little man lying down, as if unconscious.

Is this some sort of practical joke by a hacker?

If you haven't seen this message, try typing www.fodors.com in the address bar, and see if it shows up.

This only happened on Internet Explorer, not on Netscape.

Please tell me I'm not hallucinating!

You aren't hallucinating, Marcy, happened to me, too, though I got the same message all day Sunday, too. I was feeling quite fretful and of course couldn't share this with the "teens" in the family bec puhleez mom, what's the big deal!

I still can't click on my name in the upper left corner to check on my old posts. I get an error message-

"The page cannot be found

The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."

It redirects me to www.fodors.com, which gives me that same "technical difficulties" message with the little dead guy!

The site was down for routine maintenance over the weekend and after it was back up there were problems. I had to log on which I don't usually have to do before I could get access to my old posts. Maybe you should report it to Fodors if it's just a certain browser you can't use.

It was sporadic over the weekend for me and then Monday it was down due to the technical difficulties.

This seems to happen every time they do maintenance. I'm glad they don't take car of my car.

Happened to me Sun and Mon. I was surprised not to see anyone mention it until now!

Ira - I think they do take care of my car!
