Alstadt Munich hotel recommendation

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel in Munich's old, historic center which has some character and won't break the bank. Would prefer to spend about $250/night with breakfast included. There will be 3 of us in the room; me and my 2 daughters, ages 24 and 15.

Thanks all!

The Platzl might work; I am not sure it is air conditioned if that is an issue and believe me, it is for some of us depending on time of year.

There are jillions of hotels near the main train station which is close to the Mitte. You can find all star levels and all prices. The Uhland Hotel near the Oktoberfest grounds (a 10 minute walk from the Mitte) has different size rooms to accommodate more than 2 people. The Platzl is across the street from the Hofbrau Haus near Marienplatz but it is a little spendy. Blauerbock hotel might be another one to check out near the Viktualien markt.
