Alsatian museum in strasbourg?

Have you ever visited it? What did you think? If time is short in Strasbourg would you include it in your itinerary?

Thanks!

Hi LR,

We visited it. It is a set of rooms from rural Alsatian homes over various centuries.

If you like that sort of thing, it is the sort of thing you will like.

I liked it a lot. But then again, I'm always interested in how people lived in various historical periods. I'm a history buff!

Some lovely antiques and very interesting displays. Very much enjoyed the visit.

Ha ha -- I have been to Strasbourg at least 30 times and have never even heard of it. (But more than half of those times, I was just visiting various friends.)

We visited and loved it. But we are both history buffs - and I can never pass up a museum a cathedral or a castle - no matter how obscure. Have found something of interest in almost every one.

What do you mean by "time is short". We were there 5 nights, 2 days in Strasbourg, 1 in Colmar and 1 on the wine road (we had a car).

We are coming in from the states to CDG taking the TGV arriving around 2:00. Leaving for the Route du vin the next day (Sunday) just trying to figure out if I should allocate time to see if before we leave Strasbourg :)

Hi LR,

>...should allocate time to see it before we leave Strasbourg,<

What else were you thinking of doing?
