Alsace Accommodations

I am trying to settle on places to stay for my alsace vacation the first week of October. Plan to be in Strasbourg for 3 nights, then 4 nights in the country around Colmar. I would to hear your recommendations for this area. We need wifi and a good clean place. We were hoping for a view of the countryside but close enough to a town to drive in for dinner. 100-125 euro per night price range. a restaurant on site would be nice but not a deal breaker. Anybody have a favorite place they would like to suggest?

Use tripadvisor or booking.com.

Our own experiences are limited. Here they are:

We often stayed here, mainly because our favourite winemaker is based in Gueberschwihr, a most charming and authentic wine village close to Colmar:

On a higher level, with a pool, we liked this one in Ottrott, another charming village north of Colmar:

Friends recently stayed here and were very pleased with it, also in Ottrott:

You might take a look at this site. Lovely places owned by very good friends. I have stayed there.

good advice above and certainly staying in a village lets you wander in the vines first thing in the morning etc.

I also like http://www.domainedulac-alsace.com/ lovely modern rooms and great restaurant, not at all the normal place I'd stay in but very nice people

I will second staying in one of these lovely apartments:

We stayed in one in June 2014 in Riquewihr and loved it, beautiful apartment, very easy to deal with and the area is stunning.

Enjoy your planning!

It's been awhile since we were there, but Obernai was always my favorite town.
