Alps- Looking for places to stay
Going to Germany, Austria and Switzerland in early
April. Can anyone recommend any memorable b&b's or Inn in this region. Please respond or E-Mail. |
Spent a week in Interlaken, staying at the Hotel Blume which was reasonably priced - good location on
pedestrian section of Jungfraustrasse - features a Mexican restaurant :) which was a bit of a surprise! Beautiful in July and I'm sure April would be marvellous with the added snow. Fax 036 22 71 94 Also stayed at Rougemont(near Gstaad) - a picture perfect Swiss village - at Hotel de Commune - great French meals in their dining room. Also had friendly pub area. Very clean and new and also reasonably priced. Hope you enjoy Switzerland. |
Sorry, meant to give you Fax for Rougemont Hotel.

Would you mind sharing with me the price you paid for a room in Hotel Blume and Hotel de Commune? My husband and I might be visiting that area and need a double room with bath.
thanks, [email protected] |
Hotel de Commune - 88.50 Cdn or 75 Swiss Francs
Hotel Blume - this one is a bit noisy at night as there are outdoor restaurants below the balcony. They do close down about midnight, then it is quiet as there is no traffic. I think it cost 80.00 Cdn. They both replied quickly to faxes. The Swiss Tourist Office sent me a Swiss Hotel Guide (Eingach&Gemutlich Hotels) (Simple & Cosy). Both are in this book. |
