Reading this report, I was reminded of my experiences when I traveled through Europe as a student over thirty years ago. I was confused several times by men asking me the time. And at a hostel in Vienna, a fellow came and sat with me at breakfast and asked, "Do you have the time?" "Yes, 7:30". "OK, but do you have the time?"

It took a few exchanges, but I finally got it, and learned the answer is "No".

You learn something new everyday! I'm planning to go by myself to Lucca this summer to study Italian. I guess I won't give anybody the time of day! LOL!!
