Once again, Christina is confused about what constitutes the RER, which has 5 lines - A B C D E. The RER traverses Paris to serve the suburbs. The icons for the lines are round. There are also commuter lines which have letters, but they do not traverse Paris and leave from the major stations of the city to serve the suburbs. The letters for these lines are displayed in square boxes.

I too recommend the WW1 museum in Meaux. We did this a few weeks ago before our later visits to some WW1 sites north of Paris.

If you have a Navigo pass, both the trains and local buses are covered since Meaux is in Zone 5 and the former Zone 1-2 passes now cover all 5 zones.

You can find the train schedules at www.transilien.com .

The museum is closed on Tuesday, and we found the town virtually closed when we went on Monday.
