Almeria and Tarifa

We will be in southern Spain in late April and earl May, and we are wondering if it would be important to add Almeria and Tarifa to our itinerary. We like scenery, but we do not hang out on beaches and we do not wind surf.

I am not so sure about Almería, but unless you are beachy, windsurfy people, you can skip Tarifa, though the view of Africa is quite beautiful on a clear day.

Is this some kind of geography test? Isn't Almeria on the Costa Calida and Tarifa about as far south as you can go in Spain? It's a long distance between those two. I don't think it would be important to add either or both to your itinerary unless there is something specific you want to see or do there.

Late April and early May I would limit myself to Sevilla, Jerez de la frontera, Arcos de la frontera, el Puerto de Santa Maria and Cadiz: there's many fiestas going on then, beginning with Sevilla's Feria de abril.

Thanks for opening my eyes to el Puerto de Santa Maria.
