Almeria

I have an opportunity to use someone's weekend house in Almeria. I was wondering if anyone had been to this area because I can't find too much info about it in my guide books.

Thank you.

Maria,

I haven't been to that area for twenty-five years so I don't feel qualified to make comments on it (although it was lovely when last I was there) however, I have listed a website below that offers a fair amount of information on that area.

Have fun!

http://www.andalucia.com/cities/almeria.htm

Strive

Wow! I just took a look at that web site and all-of-a-sudden two hours were gone. Looks like a neat place!

Thanks David for the web site. We have a timeshare for this April 2003 at Vera Beach east of Almeria near Mojcar & Garrucha I was first disappointed in what we had read UNTIL looking at this site. Can't wait to see the small fishing villages of San Jose & Arda. The inland towns of Sobas and the 1800BC ruins in Los Millares. Motril just 45 minutes to Granada.

As always Fodors forums are GREAT!

Would be interested in your comments when you return. My husband have a condo at Vera Beach June 26 through July 3rd. Have fun.
