Yep, Tuscanlifeedit, when I did a big splat on my kitchen floor some years ago and had to have 8 stiches in my scalp I had metal staples. Fortunatly metal is not one of my allergies.
BTW, do you need a braclet engraved about your metal allergy in just Italian or in various languages? If you need Italian I can supply that, via my son-in-law. Let me know if that would help. Also, I have seen attractive ID braclets in many jewelry stores, you could buy an ID braclet and than have the store engrave the warning.

I am another one allergic to mushrooms (there are obviously a few of us around) so have appreciated the advice given above.
I have done a lot of travelling in Western Europe over the years and have never bothered to make a card before, trusting to my own ability to translate menus and make myself understood to the waiter. Fortunately I haven't encountered any problems. However, next year we will be travelling through Eastern Europe and had thought to myself that I should get cards make up in Polish, Czech, Hungarian etc as I do not have any confidence of being able to decipher the menus or communicate sufficiently in those countries. The website mentioned is just what I need.

I just wanted to post a follow-up to this. I went on the selectwisely website and ordered my mushroom card(s) on Thursday, the 31st. They arrived in the mail yesterday. The total cost was $9.50 for two laminated cards. That price included the $1.00 shipping. During the process, I received two (possibly 3) emails keeping me up to date on the process of my order.
To say that I'm impressed with the entire process is an understatement!
Thanks so much for recommending the site, I have bookmarked it on my pc for future reference!
Happy Travels!
