All Trains Between Salzburg and Munich suspended...

until October 4th - no way to get between Salzburg and Munich by rail - this from the Thomas Cook European Timetable Newsletter:

<[Europe] The movement of migrants across Europe continues to cause disruption to international rail services.

Due to the imposition of frontier controls by the German government, DB has suspended all passenger trains between Munich and Salzburg until at least October 4. International services via this route are operating only as far as Salzburg in Austria and as far as Munich in Germany. Services via Passau are operating normally but may be delayed by border control procedures.

Regional services operated by Meridian are running but only between Munich and Freilassing. ÖBB has suspended Salzburg S-Bahn services between Salzburg-Liefering and Freilassing. A bus replacement service is being offered. BLB services are only operating between Freilassing and Berchtesgaden.

ÖBB Railjet services from Budapest and Vienna to Zürich, which are routed via Rosenheim and run non-stop in Germany, are operating as normal although some may be diverted resulting in extended journey times.
