alitalia
Has anyone flown business class on Alitalia from USA to Milan and can comment on seats, service, individual screens, food, games. Thanks, Emily

I have never flown Alitalia across the Atlantic, but several times on intra-European flights.
Well, the airplanes are flying museums. The cockpits look like they did 30 years ago - and well-worn. Alitalia still flies the "Super 80" - but certainly not across the Atlantic. |
I flew Alitalia from Milan to Miami a few years ago. Not the newest plane of the fleet. From what I could see of business class, I would certainly have preferred it to where I was sitting.

They fly a 777 and quite a few 767's across the pond. Seats are not lie-flat. 60 inches in business compaired to 32 inches in economy. |
You have another non-stop USA - Milan choice. That being Delta Air Lines.
I fly Business Elite on Delta internationally about 4 times every year, and I must say the service is excellent. Even when there is that occasional grumpy flight attendant, the others make up for it. Both Alitalia and Delta are SkyTeam memebers, so you can earn your miles with either, if that is why you are thinking about Alitalia. |
Emily - Not sure where you are originating, but Continental flies from EWR using 767-200. In BusinessFirst: 55" pitch, seats are not lie flat but are quite comfortable, have individual screens. CO's BizFirst service is quite good.
