Aliens invade Paris

No, I am not talking about the migrants who have every reason to want to be here rather than in their home countries.

I just thought you might want to see that outside of the tourist ghetto near the Seine, you can encounter the most extraordinary events in this city. This weekend, Paris was holding "Comic Con," that odd event where people turn into superheroes.

Then again, any migrants from war zones who saw it might want to go home now.

Thanks! That was fun.

Another great one, Kerouac! I wonder how many of them were French and how many from alternate universes? It is a shame security prohibited real weapons. They could have had real Star Wars inside and determine at long last who would win, Batman or Superman; a serious debate I remember having when a child.

What, no Tintin or Asterix? How soon the superheroes of yore are forgotten.....
These conventions are huge business in many parts of the world and the showbiz tycoons pay them close attention. But really, do the costumes look any crazier than the garb of football fanatics?

Who woulda thought? Comic Con in Paris. I was in San Diego when Comic Con was going on. Odd to eat breakfast at a hotel with people who are decked out and carrying "weapons". Quite a scene.

Astonishing what Assad's poison gas made out of the Syrians who come as refugees to Paris.

Huh?

kerouac Oct 27th, 2015 12:35 PM

I would have loved to have seen Syrians instead.

I think you should repost this next time there is another "what are they wearing in Paris this year" question.

My wife and I are going to Boston to ride the subways/trams on Halloween. With 65,000 students, it will very much resemble ComicCon. We will be disguised as a pair of elderly travelers.
