Congrats on getting your two primary tickets!

My understanding is that evening tickets for the Generalife are only available at certain times of year, so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. Just thank your lucky stars! :-)

The nighttime visit to the Nasrid Palace is lovely - I'm sure you'll enjoy the experience. It was a lot less crowded which made it a more relaxing experience than the day visit.

The crowds of people at the Alhambra, especially in the Nasrid Palace, with so many folks using the F%^$ selfie sticks, was less appealing and a bit of a turnoff, truthfully.

It's easy to find the ticket office/bookstore for the Alhambra in town. We stumbled upon it because it was just off the main street near our hotel. If you can't get there, it's not a problem. There are many machines at the entrance where you can print out your tickets. The long lines are for purchases. It's just not very confusing at all once you get up there.

I'd give only this advice. We took a taxi up to the top gate for the Generalife and walked down through the gardens to the Nasrid Palace. I think that's the best way to see them, but there's a gate for your nighttime visit that's just near the Palace near the bottom of the Generalife.

Oh ... and there is an audio tour. I used it in October when I was there.

great advice - I like the idea of starting at the top and going down through the gardens. can't wait to write the trip report....
