Alhambra night and day visit?

Hi,

I've a question about Alhambra. We will be in Granada for 2 nights (21-23 May) and will be arriving by train from Madrid, around 1 PM.

- is it worth doing both night time (Nasrid Palaces) and day time visits to Alhambra?
- if yes, I guess we could visit on the same day when we arrive? (Night visits starts at 10PM I think)
- on the following day is it better to get morning tickets? Concerned it could be hot at the end of May there etc.

Also a little confused about buying tickets for night time Nasrid Palaces, on this link http://www.ticketmaster.es/nav/en/mu...cio/index.html it states:

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Night visit to the Generalife gives no right of access to Nasrid Palaces, as there is a specific night visit for this spot lit at the same time.

It is requested not to use flash during the night visit because it dazzles others visitors causing discomfort and preventing the peaceful perception of gardens and Generalife Palace.

The link is to buy tickets for Nasrid Palaces, but notice states that Generalife gives no access to Nasrid Palaces and also don't use flashes in the garden, but the link is for Nasrid Palaces?

Thanks in advance.

Seeing the Alhambra at night is a marvelous experience, and it is amazing how few tourists do it, so you really have a wonderful time in the interiors. You cannot tour the gardens extensively, but to be around the courtyards at night (when all the cats come out) is also a delight.

Touring the rest of the grounds in the morning can be much pleasanter than touring them in the afternoons if it is a warm day (and it might be in late May).

I arrived at the Alhambra in the mid-afternoon and took the evening tour the same day. Then I went the following morning to tour all the gardens and grounds.

Something you need to prepare for is getting some kind of dinner before the night tour. As you know, most restaurants in Spain serve dinner quite late, so for that day make a plan to get some sandwiches and tapas early on.

We saw it at night the day we arrived .
Day time, around noon the next day.
Our hotel arranged the tickets.
It was a bit confusing arriving there in the dark.

Thank you, will do both.

Just found out that Australian credit cards don't work in ticketmaster.es website.
We've booked apartment, hopefully owner can help us with tickets.

The Generalife is the gardens, which are separate from the Nasrid Palace. You have TWO night options, one for each. If you have to choose between them, my recommendation is to choose the Nasrid Palace and to go there AFTER your day time visit. if you have the chance to do BOTH evening visits, do!

Aren't the tickets only available for purchase 90 days out? If that's the case, you wouldn't be able to purchase them yet, esj. I'm going in early May so plan to purchase the tickets next month.
