Alhambra advance tickets snafu?
I want to book my tickets in advance as is so often recommended here. I went to the website and it says this:
Following instructions issued by THE ALAMBRA AND GENERALIFE'S BOARD OF TRUSTEES, and due to the forthcoming termination of the convention, THE EARLY SALE OF TICKETS FOR VISITS LATER THAN 31 JULY 2007 IS ADJOURNED. Anyone know what's up? Should I wing it and hope for the best? |
they have changed servers. search here past threads and someone posted new address, which i believe is slightly visible on present webpage somewhere.
it MIGHT be www.servicaixa.es, but i am NOT SURE. |
Please tell me what "snafu" exactly means, I've seen it several times, and BTW, also "kudos"
Thanks |
I believe snafu comes from a military slang term from an abbreviation for something like "situation normal all fouled up" (or worse word that starts with "f") and it is used to describe when something goes wrong. I don't know the origin of "kudos" but it means something like "awards".

I booked Alhambra tickets at:
http://www.alhambradegranada.org/gui...ntradas_en.asp If you go down to the bottom of the page they have a link for after Aug 1 reservations which takes you to their new agent. josele-I believe "Kudos" is usually used to mean "praise" although it I guess it could also be an award & snafu (as laurie ann said) is a "mistake". |
Actually, I missed that lincasanove gave you a link. My link to the main Alhambra site brings you to the same place you can get by going to www.servicaixa.es and clicking on Alhambra tickets box.

I used the www.ServiCaixa.com site on 08/25/2007 for an august booking.
Just put in other for event, and then Grenada. You will be given a choice of just gardens or Nasrid palace+ gardens. You will enter morning or afternoon the rest you just follow the directions. Good luck. Other Fodorites led me through it So kudos to them |
Josele
Kudos as defined by Websters english dictionary= Acclaim or prestige resulting from notable acheivement or high position. This word is used rather loosly as you can see :) |
Thanks all. I have been reading the Spain board for months and must have missed previous posts about how to get around this problem.
