Trees5 we've booked Alessandro for our
trip in May based on reviews on this board. We've emailed back and forth a few times and sounds like he has a great tour planned for us in May. When is your trip?

trees5 Apr 2nd, 2004 08:40 PM

We'll be in Florence mid-May and have booked a tour with Alessandro for May 15. Siena, San Gimignano, vineyard, and olive producer, with pick-up and return to Florence (8:30 to after dinner). What is your tour and how did you hear about AC?

Darnwright Apr 3rd, 2004 12:45 PM

Alessandro will pick us up in Florence on the 16th and do the same tour but dropping us off in Montalcino. The next day we're going to wineries, hilltowns, Pienza and Montepulciano. I just read reviews on this board and then emailed him. What about you?

what are his rates like?

trees5 Apr 7th, 2004 08:08 PM

Darnwright: Same. Read about him on this board and contacted AC directly. I guess we'll both keep our fingers crossed that he's as good as others say he is.
forbwj2: depending on how long we go, AC said his rate will be about 300 euro for the day (from 8:30am to after dinner).

I used Alessandro Cammilli for my tour when I was in Florence, and he was wonderful. He is very good at recommending places to see, and will help you plan your day based on your preferences. We went to Pisa, Florence, and Cinque Terre. Alessandro is very professional and reliable, and he speaks fluent English. He is very knowledgeable about Florence and the surrounding areas, and his prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend booking a tour with him. He helped make our time in Florence an awesome experience. He can be reached at [email protected].
