Albergo della Senato...we have reservations in more ways than one.

Having made reservations more than a month ago at the Senato we have since learned several things about the hotel.
It is directly on the Piazza della Rotonda a few feet from the Pantheon.(Great!)
The night life is supposedly active in this area into the early hours.(Not Great!)
We have contacted the hotel and were told that our room being a suite would be facing the piazza and that it was on the sixth floor. We were reassured by the hotel that noise would not be a factor. If anyone has stayed at the Senato we would really appreciate your thoughts on this matter.

Thanks

P.S.
The web site that was given to us that made us realize exactly where the Senato is situated is:

Robin, you didn't say when you'd be there. I think that would make a difference regarding nightime partiers.
I've heard it's an awesome hotel. We're going to Rome in two weeks and staying at the Due Torri which is close to Del Senato but on a super quiet little street. I would probably have preferred the del Senato but they had no room for our dates. Good luck.

We are going to be there from March 28 through April 3rd. Is there a peak partying season ?
We're just a little anxious. Thanks for the response.

Robin,
I think that because of the time of year you will be there, the chances of you sleeping with your windows open might be remote.
(unless you are like us, and sleep with your windows cracked open even with temps below zero)
Plus most of the nightlife will probably be inside, cause if you think about it, how many people will be spending hours outside late at night this time of year?
Also, you are up on the 6th floor.

People here have recommended earplugs for your concern, but how one sleeps with them in is beyond me.
I am sure it will be fine, and the hotel is supposed to be lovely!

Hi Robin,

All the kids in Rome zip around on very loud motorcycles/motorbikes--and the Pantheon pizza is a really popular gathering place--this is what makes it noisy in the evening. But I too think that if you keep your windows closed, you won't have any major noise problems.
I suspect the windows have double-paned glass to cope with the problem, about which, I'm sure, the hotel is very much concerned.
