Alarm clock in Florence?
I'm sure there's got to be a better place to figure this out, but for the moment, I'm at a loss.
We're in Florence, and will be here for the next six weeks, and we're figuring things out slowly but surely. The one thing we can't seem to get our hands on is an alarm clock! The apartment we're in doesn't have a single clock and we're concerned with getting up in time to catch trains as we plan on traveling as often as possible. Does anyone know where I can get an inexpensive alarm clock/travel clock? |
Do you have a cell phone? If so, use the alarm on it.

Perhaps a store like Upim or Oviesse?

If you don't get an answer here (and don't have a cell phone) then start asking in hotels/shops for a Walmart or Target type store where you can buy one inexpensively.
I use an LL Bean travel alarm clock which folds up very thinly and takes up no room in the suitcase. I realize this doesn't help you at the moment but you could order one for your next trip. Good luck finding your alarm clock. |
Hi stonest, I was going to suggest Upim too although I don't know for sure if they carry alarm clocks. But find out where an electronic shop is and they no doubt will have them. Since you are no doubt staying in an apartment the staff at a cafe or restaurant, they will probably be able to direct you to a store. Or walk into a hotel and ask the desk clerk for assistance. Italians are usually very generous with helping people.
