Alacazar in Sevilla

Would it be advantageous to pre-purchase our tickets for the Alcazar in Sevilla? I have looked for someone posting about this and haven't had any luck. I have read about long tickets lines and waits to get in. Wondered if buying tickets online would help. Also what time of day is a good time to go view (in the end of June)?

My husband and I were in Seville at the end of May and had no trouble getting into the Alcazar. We went on a Wednesday before lunch. Of course, that doesn't mean that there might not be long lines at other times.
I thought it was beautiful-- I think I enjoyed the interior more here than the Alhmabra in Granada. Only wish I had taken a tour. You might be interested in taking a tour with Concepcion, mentioned in Rick Steve's guidebook. I took her tour of the cathedral and enjoyed it very much.

I don't recall any wait, either. I also liked the Alcazar better than the Alhambra, maybe because it was smaller and thus more accessible.

No wait for me either on the last Saturday on May, early afternoon. Spent nearly four hours there and would have been happy to spend even more time. It's very lovely.

We were there in September. We went in the morning. There was a line up of approx 30 people but the wait was not long. I loved the Alcazar and Seville.

We typically visit the Alcazar off-season, but from what I've seen, it's much too underappreciated to worry about long lines in late June.

Hi. We recently returned from Sevilla. We waited on line for tickets for about 20-25 minutes.
We had done a walking tour of sevilla with Concepcion mentioned above. (Alfonso gave the tours that day). We enjoyed him so much we signed up for the Alcazar tour an hour later. For 5 euros each for that tour, it was well worth it. There is alot of history (and at least 3 architectural styles here). His tour lasted an hour and we remained for an extra hour on our own.

We visited the Alcazar on June 11th in the morning (9:30 am). No lines at all.
