Airports Checking Proof of Vaccination?
Hello Everyone,
I am from the USA and I have a flight coming up to Denmark with a brief layover in Amsterdam. Given that this is my first time traveling since the start of COVID, I was wondering how thorough were the border control checks regarding vaccination status? I am fully vaccinated, but I have a worry that there is a chance the CDC vaccination record card will not be accepted as proof. Are the officials taking their time to enter every passenger's CDC vaccination record data into the system at the airport? I am just curious about how thorough the airport border patrol officials choose to go in terms of verifying COVID-related documents when it comes to traveling during this pandemic. Any advice would be appreciated and would help ease my nerves about all the uncertainty and constant fluctuation in regulation associated with travel today. Thank you guys! |
No one asked for vaccination status in AMS but they did ask in CPH.
There was no issue with my UK certificates which are also outside the EU. For the return from CPH, I was asked for vaccination status but that’s due to a requirement by the UK. |
Have not ventured to Europe in COVID time but have seen numerous reports that CDC vax card is widely accepted. I would not worry, just be sure you have a copy on your phone and/or a scan of the card you email to yourself.
