Airport Transport, CDG to the 16th

Can someone please update me re cost of taxi vs shuttle service/limo etc?
We are two people travelling into CDG on Thursday and as it's been years I am out of date re best shuttle services and costs.
Thank you.

The taxi will probably be around €50, maybe a little more, but it's been awhile since we taken a taxi in from the airport. We've used Victor Cabs (twitter.com/taxi_only4u) a couple of times, Taxis G7 (www.taxisg7.com) and taken the RER.

I think we paid about 60 or 65 euros with Victor Cabs last year.

We have used him a few times and are very happy with the service.

We usually just grab a cab at CDG once we've cleared customs and gotten our luggage. Usually runs 55 euros with tip. Have never had a bad experience.

At CDG, taxis are plentiful and usually cost less than private shuttles. Do not accept offers from clandestine operators soliciting from within the terminals. Go directly to the taxi departure areas, straight out and curbside from baggage claim/customs. You might want to have your destination written on a piece of paper to hand to the driver to preclude any misunderstanding.

Cost is typically 50€ to 55€. Tipping is not required, but I usually round up to the nearest 5€.

For taxi, it depends on traffic.
I have paid 48€ Sunday morning, no traffic of any kind to 78€ last month leaving CDG 3pm on Friday. It took about 110 min to the 6th. Bumper to bumper traffic on A1 starting around 2 miles out of CDG all the way to the Peripherique. Next time, I would trust the google map trip estimate based on current traffic condition, and if the traffic map shows solid red on A1, I would take an RER to Gare du Nord even with luggage then take a taxi. All the time I was in the cab, the driver was cursing and yelling at other drivers. It was an unpleasant way to start a trip to France.

You can use some type of time estimator but a quick look at the calendar will tell you that last Friday was the start of a long, three day weekend. Monday was the Pentecost holiday and traffic out of Paris on Friday and back into Paris on Monday would have been extremely heavy.

I would avoid the highways at the start or end of any holiday period.
