airport transfers
 

We were offered transportation by car from the airport to our apartment in Rome for 50 euros. There are 4 of us. Is this a fair price? Thanks.

I think so. The service we used charged 45, but for 4 people they charge 65:

Romecab.com offered me 50E for the middle of the night, and romeshuttlelimo.com offered 40.

I think you can get the latter for 35E during the day.

I think it is a fair price for 4 people with luggage...have seen it a bit cheaper...but also heard of extra baggage surcharge being tacked on if there was a lot of luggage (happened to me actually from the Parco de'Medici area right near the airport...should have been 35 euros and they tried to charge us 45 for the under 10-minute drive)...I probably wouldn't be bothered to shop around to save 10euros or so.
