Airport Transfer Vienna
 

Hello,

I am visiting Vienna on saturday and I am looking for a good way to get to the hotel from the airport. I found this CAT train but it seems a bit expensive to me..

What would you suggest?

I can tell you from personal experience that to reach a hotel in central Vienna from the airport by taxi is going to cost you a LOT more than taking the train.

What does your hotel tell you? There is S-bahn S7, but without knowing where your hotel is, it can be a wrong answer.

The CAT is more costly than the S7, though it is faster by 10-15 minutes. Both will take you to Wien-Mitte, where you can transfer to the U-Bahn or, if more convenient, catch a taxi at one of the stand outside. The latter option of the S-Bahn and taxi would likely still be less expensive than a taxi from the airport (€30-€35 or more, depending on number of passengers and bags).

the CAT is really expensive and not much faster than the S7. The S-Bahn will take u to Wien-Mitte and you will have to find your way to the hotel from there.

I would recommend taking a Taxi, especially if you are traveling as a group. Much more comfortable and you dont have to worry about finding the way to the hotel. Personally I had some good experiences with http://airport-taxi-wien.wien/en/
There is also a Bus, but I never took it so i cant really tell you much about it.

Hi, I have taken the bus from the airport several times in the past. It is cheaper than the trains (EUR 8.00 one way) and drops you right in Morzinplatz / Schwedenplatz. It may depend a little on where your hotel is as to how convenient you find it, but there are taxis and trams in Morzinplatz / Schwedenplatz so you could take one of those the remaining distance. Google 'Postbus Vienna Airport Morzinplatz' and you will find timetables. It departs from the bus area out the front of the airport terminal.

If you haven't booked accommodation yet there are also numerous hotels in this area so you could get that to work for you also.
