Airport transfer from Westpark Munich to Munich airport?

Hello!
I wanted to know what is the best way to go to Munich Airport from Angelo by Vienna Munich Westpark on Sept 17, 2017 Sunday morning? Our United flights to the US departs at 12:10 pm. What time do we have to be there for check in and clearance? Our complimentary tour transfer to airport picks up at
9:30 AM but I'm not sure if it will go around picking up other passengers too, so for peace of mind, I wanted to have a back up plan just in case it's not enough time. This is our first time in Munich so we are not familiar with the place.
I would appreciate it very much any advise or information anyone can offer. Thank you very much.

5 minute walk to the S7 station, S7 north to Donnersbergerbrücke. From there take the S1 to the airport. Entire trip takes less than an hour.

Or the S8, whichever arrives earlier. The web site of Munich airport suggests that you arrive 3 hours prior to dep. I do that regularly (for the AA noon flight to PHI). Sometimes I have time to waste at the airport, sometimes getting through the bottelneck of passport control and security is so slow that there is not much time left before boarding.

That's a very helpful information. I will go with the 3 hrs window to be safe. Thanks.
I have one more question. If I buy the train ticket to the airport from Harras S7 with a specific time and miss the 3 minute connection to S1 in Donnersbergerbrucke, can I just hop on the next S1 or S8 train to the airport with the same ticket?

A Airport-City day ticket is valid till 6am next day. So, take any train that is convenient for you.
