Airport Transfer
I ask this on behalf of a friend of mine. He is not a real traveller, but he must go to Birmingham in March where he will fly. As he is rather posh, he wants to rent a car to pick him up at the airport. So my question is: Can you suggest a company that performs airport transfers in the UK and provides a good quality service? Anyway, I checked online and found this one call Uk Airport Chauffeur and seems interesting though. However, I would appreciate if you could suggest others for us to choose.

Regarding UK Airport Chauffeur – no UK business would use the word transportation to describe its services; nor would they refer to sedans. Whoever they are they are not local. There’s also another glaring flaw with the website – (hint -maybe contact them and ask?).
Birmingham Airport lists Arrow Cars as their official taxi service. https://www.birminghamairport.co.uk/...-hire-or-taxi/ If they are not posh enough, you could try the official chauffeur service https://www.birminghamairport.co.uk/chauffeur-service/ Tristar Worldwide Chauffeur Services Homepage |
<<There’s also another glaring flaw with the website – (hint -maybe contact them and ask?>> I can't find any contact details on that website, it doesn't look like it the finished product, the grammar is not right in many places, no info on who the company is behind the website, no pricing, no method provided to book despite claims of great technology, but the OP thinks it could be a suitable option for someone "posh" who is not a real traveller. The website is not local as they reference the "us team" as well as Ground Transportation and sedans. No one rents cars to get picked up at an airport and that website does not come up when I do a search for it.

Weird that company came up in your search . . . unless you are connected to them in some way? If so, you need to get them to fix the red flags -- wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

I wouldn't use the company, either, given it has no contact info on the website. In fact, I couldn't even figure out how in the world you would book a trip with them even if you wanted. Maybe I'm blind, but I saw no phone no. and no booking link. On top of that, it had no legal information as to company owner, location, etc., which I thought was required.
The use of transportation or sedan wouldn't bother me as even if they use other terms for a sedan in the UK (they do use the term transfers a lot), if they were marketing towards all types of customers, I don't think that is so odd. The grammar and spelling are bad in the last paragraph, which again may just mean they are sloppy but who knows. The one major flaw I see is that part of the website is in French, ha ha, so I suspect it is a French company or someone from a Francophone country, in any case (this is "lire la suite") under some photos. You'd think the owner of that company would have noticed that. I wouldn't recommend anyone use a website that bad. |
