Airport Shuttle
Any thoughts on World Shuttle?
Other threads have recommended a taxi from de Gaulle airport to hotel. The apartment company I'm renting from suggests world-shuttles.com |
Isee their website doesn't give a lot of information. I don't know if they guarantee being there waiting for your arrival or if like some you have to call them after your arrival. And I also don't know how many other people or how many stops they might make before getting to your hotel.
I do see that it would be 25 euro for one person or 34 for two. If you have three or more people in your party, it's a no-brainer -- a taxi will be the same or less and definitely direct. If you're traveling alone it's probably a good deal. If there are two of you, I'd think about. Frankly for maybe an extra 16 to 20 euro, I'd rather take my own taxi. |
Thanks for the reply Patrick.
There is only 2 of us but I see what you mean. Convenience is worth a lot to me too, especially since I've never been to Europe before. I think I'll take your advice-thanks! |

E-mail Address(es): [email protected] WE have used VIP Shuttle and the prices were good..actually met us INSIDE the airport.. Same price as taxi.. |
Have you thought about using the Roissybus from CDG to Opera and then a train to your hotel? The all up cost per person is about 8Euro. I found that is was very easy to get around and a cheap way to go even if you have no idea where you are, the maps are easy to work out. The Roissybus run approx every 15mins and the trains seem to come and go all the time.

Just returned from Paris Wednesday, and I used "Bee Shuttle" (beeshuttle.com) to go from CDG to Paris. The cost was $29 for 2 people and I was there within 1/2 hour. A taxi driver at the airport quoted me 50 Euros (over $75) for the same trip. When I arrived I called BeeShuttle toll free to tell them I was there, and no problem having the shuttle ready. Now that I have been there, if I had minimal luggage, I would take the Metro/Train, but the first time there with luggage I would have been a little overwhelmed.

The train from CDG to Gare du Nord is very quick (approx 20 mins I think), and only costs about €7. You can get the metro easily from there to where you're staying. We did that last weekend with luggage and had no problems (even at rush hour).

I have never heard of World Shuttle, I always use Blue Vans , it's only 14.50 per person and so reliable.
