airport procedure in london

Hi. I am flying from Rome to Shannon, Ireland in July with a layover in London. What will I need to do to change airlines as far as customs, luggage, etc.?? The flight says that it is a short connection at 1h55m and I want to make sure I have time to make it.

Thanks for any insight!

I assume it's one itinerary, as the word "layover" was used, and tonimarie mentions a warning about a short connection. I would also think that Rome -> London -> Shannon should all be in one terminal.

Unless it's Heathrow then they won't have a layover, they'll have separate tickets as I don't believe the Ryanair connecting trial covers that route. In which case they aren't going to catch their onward flight

If it is Heathrow then it's either BA in which case it's a T5 to T2 transfer for which 1h55m is just long enough even with the need to go through UK immigration and a security check or T4 to T2 which is also just possible.

Why would they be, she said it was a layover, had a connection, and was the same airline.

International Airlines Group, a Spanish-British conglomerate, was formed by the merger of Iberia and British Airways. IAG last year purchased Aer Lingus. Iberia also owns the Spanish budget carrier Vueling. The various wings (pun intended) of IAG operate more or less independently but co-operation between them would seem both logical and inevitable. Wikipedia provides this breakdown, including several smaller units: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intern...Airlines_Group
