Oh! How boringly practical and sensible!

If you are going to have your handbag searched at least have one that the security girls admire - gives you something to talk about as they confiscate your perfume. And if the shoes MUST come off give the poor bloke behind you a laugh as you sink down six inches in height sans shoes. ;)

Thanks Cigale! Just what I needed to know as I am packing my suitcase this weekend for my trip to Paris on Wednesday.
I stick to flat slip-on shoes that will allow for any swelling, stretch pants, and a loose acrylic top that won't show a crinkle when I step off the plane.
If I were to jump in a taxi straight to my hotel I may not go to all the trouble of looking presentable, but I'm transferring in Munich to the ICE & then TGV before getting to Paris so have a lot of places to go before I see our hotel!
Thanks again.

tod make sure you wear something suitable on the ICE, it is anything but icy at the moment.

There is an important piece of accessory missing in those photos that I often see at the airports. The U-shaped neck pillow some people don't bother to take off between the flights. LOL

Yes, rhkkmk, please don't tell me you've never heard of a "man-bag"!
