Airlines serving Azores?

We will be flying from San Francisco to London this summer, then on to the Azores. Does anyone know of a good air service that makes this connection?

Take a look at TAP Air Portugal. You'll probably have to fly London to Lisbon, then on to Horta.

You could also do it using AirFrance or KLM but it would cost more than a flight on TAP

Have also a look at Sata, the Azores airline: http://www.sata.pt/Portugal/en/Home/1

After I posted I checked and saw that Sata has direct flights from London Gatwick to Azores, maybe your best bet.

If the Azores is your final destination, you might fly to Boston and from there its only a 4 hour flight.

you can also get a copy of the Modesto Bee on Sunday its filled with cheap flights to Azores as many people from there are in the central valley area. I have seen round trips from $595.00, the have weekly flights April to I think October or late September.

These resources have helped a lot. Thank you all.

If you fly TAP from the mainland to Sao Miguel or Terceira you can get a good deal on inter-island SATA flights. At least that was the deal when I visited Sao Miguel a few years ago.
