Airlines for flights b/w European Cities that are cheap??
I was wondering what the names of some airlines offering flights b/w European cities. For example, I will need to fly from Rome to Milan and Milan to Paris. Also, how far in advance to you need to book these? Can you do it a couple of days before? What is the average cost of flights like these?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Another website for looking at discount airlines in Europe is www.applefares.com . There's also a European Air Pass available; check out www.europebyair.com .

A plug for Ryan air! They are cheap, reliable and offer multiple destinations within the countries, not just the larger cities. My friend flew them from Frankfurt to Pisa for only 27 euros last summer!

and others that don't really have their own websites - - Duo, eVolavia, Wizzair - - others?
and finally, is AerLingus now a low cost carrier?
for most of these, whichbudget.com is the place to start - - though they do not have smartwings.net - - not yet (and not yet flying; they launch 1 May 2004)
Best wishes,

I didn't see www.volareweb.com mentioned. I found the cheapest fare there for Paris to Venice.
