Airline to Paris in April
Hello everyone,
I am going to Paris April 16 - April 26. I need to book an airline ticket. Question - when is the best time to book? Now or a couple of weeks prior to the trip. Thanks! |
"<i> when is the best time to book?</i>" probably several month ago. The cheapest tickets are the first ones sold.
Where are you flying from? |
oops - that should say " . . . several month<b><u>s</u></b> ago"

Birmingham, AL

Jansisj- the cheapest tickets being the first sold isn't alway accurate.
Timetheus26, both United and Continental are right around $810 now. I would consider that a fairly good price given the proximity to your departure date. Prices may go up or go down, but if you are comfortable paying the $810 I wouldn't hesitate to book. |
what I meant - and could not go into any details because the OP hadn't told us enough to work w/ -- was that in general the cheapest seats sell out first and far in advance. But yes, there can always be last minute sales - though one should not count on that happening.

Thanks for the quick response and the information! Much appreciated.

Birmingham is an issue..
There are limted flights OUT of Birmingham. (I think none on United for example, probably only DL codeshares on CO) Would you drive to Atlanta? I was working in Birmingham a few years ago and the "additional" fee to fly in and out of there to CDG was huge. So I drove to Atlanta? That said, I would book now. As you get to the 30 day window I think they will only go up. The airlines are then hoping that business travelsers will buy those full fare tickets (and we do) |
