Airline to Italy

We are planning a trip to Italy in April. The only non-stop service from Boston is to Milan on Alitalia. I have hearad that Alitalia is about to go bankrupt so don't want to do that. We will either fly into Rome, Venice or Florence. In one and out another. What are the best airlines and connections? Thanks.

The best airline is any airline on a good day.

The worst airline is any airline on a bad day.

The best connection is no connection.

Alitalia has been "about to go bankrupt" for a couple years now.

Best wishes,

Rex

I've flown Alitalia three times in the past 15 months between Boston and Switzerland, landing and changing in Rome or Milan because they had much lower airfares than any of the other carriers. It's a comfortable flight, quick and really nice flight attendants.

The "best" is somewhat a matter of one's own personal experience. We've used US Air, British Air, Air France and Lufthansa, all with connections. I think the easiest was connecting through Frankfurt on Lufthansa.

USAIR non-stop from Philly every day...Luftansa connects at rome for the Venice flight...

Air France is a disgrace
