Airline Information and Travel Resources for Those of You that are Holding Airline Tickets

I'm not sure what info the originator of this thread was trying to share --- but here's something that I'd gotten from one of my newsletters yesterday.

As you know, the horrific events in New York, Pittsburgh, and
Washington, D.C. have shut down air traffic nationally. As of
this writing, domestic flights are expected to resume at some
point on September 12, but tens of thousands of travelers are
stranded, and moving them to their proper destinations will take
time and effort. For subscribers who need information about
travelers, we hope the following list will help:

* Southwest Airlines [ http://www.southwest.com/ ] or
1-800-435-9792

* United Airlines [ http://www.ual.com/ ] or
1-800-932-8555

* Continental Airlines [ http://www.continental.com/ ] or
1-800-525-0280

* US Airways [ http://www.usairways.com/ ] or
1-800-428-4322

* Delta Airlines [ http://www.delta.com/home/index.jsp ]
or 1-800-325-1999

* American Airlines [ http://www.aa.com/ ] or
1-800-245-0999

* Northwest Airlines [ http://www.nwa.com/ ] or
1-800-228-2525

We at Dummies.com send our support and strength to our
subscribers and our friends in the travel industry as they
heroically assist their passengers and family members following
this devastation.

********************************************** *********
To all of you, it's very important to note that each airline has a different set of rules appying and that these rules have been changing hourly so it seems. Please check with your travel agent or the airline before making any plans!
