Airline dog crate needed - Italy
 

I am currently living in Florence, Italy. I need to purchase an airline dog crate in order to transport my dog back to the US. I need a series 500 size for a large dog. I would like to purchase a new or used crate. Does anyone know where I can purchase one?

Our crates are called Petmate Furrari Crates (cheesy I know). We used them when we moved our dogs from Canada to the UK in 2007 and they were perfect.

Perhaps you could google it for Italy? I know they sell them online from the UK also...

Are you sure you need a 500 size? That's not large, that's huge. Not all planes will take a 500 size crate. The crate only needs to be large enough for the dog to stand up, turn around, and lie down. An oversized crate is not good for a dog; they feel more secure in a crate that is sized appropriately for them. What breed (or mix) is the dog in question?

I would ask at your local pet store, look at websites selling second hand stuff, maybe even ask the vet for suggestions.
