Airfare - Vancouver to Paris/Zurich

Has anyone found cheap airfare from Vancouver or Seattle to Zurich or vicinity in September?

I'm trying to decide if US$710, PDX - CDG (via FRA on Lufthansa) and return is a good deal. It's the best I've found for my dates: Sep 23 - Oct 2.

The best I have found is Vancouver to Frankfurt for $CDN 799 via AirTransat which suits my purposes. Including $100 bonus for early booking.
What does PDX-CDG stand for?

You could get a flight from Van to London for $699 and then use easyjet to get to Paris (I think that is where you are going)

Also www.flybmi.com has rates comparable to EasyJet for flights from LHR-CDG.

blackzee, when departing from YVR I always find it much cheaper to go to London first. Have you looked at http://www.canadian-affair.com and http://www.flyzoom.com (in addition to the Air Transat sites)? However, this year I got a cheaper fare than the charters just by watching very closely at several sites, and ended up with an Air Canada flight (but purchased on the http://www.flybmi.com web site).

If you are willing to go to Seattle first, you can get cheaper flights to the rest of Europe, but I'm not sure Zurich is typically a cheap option. I suspect there are low-budget carriers that go near Zurich, but I can't recall what they are.
