Airfare to Luxembourg from NYC
I'm trying to book a flight to visit friends in Southern Belgium near Arlon, I usually fly into Lux, or even Brussels, but the flights listed are very expensive $1046 for my dates (June 28- July 8th /somewhat flexible).
I know this is peak season, are these rates gonna come down?
I usually go in May, but this year we have a conflict. These prices are more than double what I paid last year.
Any thoughts would be helpful.

Train connections are so good around there you might check out lots of points of entry: Paris, Amsterdam, London. (Presumably you've already checked out Continental, which flies direct to Brussels from Newark.)
You can also think about flying to Dublin or Shannon and taking Ryan Air from there.
You might even look at Iceland Air for a connection that gets you close enough to take a reasonably priced flight.

I don't see any reason to book a flight so far ahead, so you have plenty of time to wait, but that fare looks pretty typical to me for high season, and actually better than I might have expected based on last year's fares.
I never saw anything close to half that in 2006, where did you get a RT fare from NYC to Brussels or nearby in May 2006 for only about $500? I just am amazed at that, but wherever it was, it seems like a good place to look for next year.

Thanks, I'll keep my eyes (and Options) open.
I can usually get a really cheap rate NYC/london.. they either midway or luxair into Lux. But the fares (as well as the taxes) are up, so those $99 each way fares end up costing more.
I can still find good fares off season to London and Paris, but the week I need.. are peak, and I doubt they'll be offering $99 or $139 fares.
