Nobody has replied because nobody can predict airline sales. Even guesses based on previous years are sure to be wild. Travel patterns shift from year to year. What applies to domestic fares may not be true internationally. Plus you give no hint of where you want to fly to, or from. You can read plenty of speculation posted previously on this forum but none of it comes with a guarantee. Sorry, but that's life in tourism.

I have no idea if this really works, but I copied something off the internet that says the best time to find low fares is 18 to 28 days before the flight, midday to late day on Tuesday.

Who knows? I'm going to give it a try before my next trip.

>>>best time to find low fares is 18 to 28<<<

I've never found that to be the case. Airfares tend to really jump 21 days out.

Keep an eye out for Aerlingus discounts.

Don't even finish reading my post: start tracking airfare.
www.:
skyscanner.com
hipmunk.com
momondo.com
tingo.com
as well as all the others, expedia, yahoo, farealert, farescanner, etc.

Just clicked on aerlingus and they have US to Ireland $599 but I'm sure depends on when you are going and this you need to book by Tuesday but sounds extremely good to me.

We bought tickets w/ Delta for mid May, JFK-Dublin, Shannon to JFK for $680.

Who knows what they'll be tomorrow? The night before I bought the $680 tickets I was looking on line. At first I was getting prices around $730, then an hour later it was $790. I set up alerts on a few sites mentioned above and the next day I had an alert for the $680 flights and bought them. Tues and Thurs flights are cheaper. There is a big jump for June flights.

Prices might drop to $500 in another week, but oh well (airlines have added planes in anticipation of increased travel for 'The Gathering'). Now I can plan and book lodging 5 mths ahead when there are plenty of places to chose from.

Good luck!

I bought tics once on Continental and the price dropped and I got a refund of the difference. You might try it.
